“From X Factor to Unforgettable Weddings: A Journey of Magic, Music, and Global Stages”
I have rocked a performance at over 1000 weddings, creating unforgettable moments going viral on social media multiple times! I’ve helped countless couples find that extra spark of magic they dream of for the biggest day of their lives!
In 2013, I took a shot at the X Factor and made it all the way to the Judges’ Houses, an incredible experience that opened even more doors. From performing in exotic locations like America, Thailand, Spain, and Greece, to singing at festivals, on cruise ships and opening for celebrities! I’ve travelled the world doing what I love. No matter where or how, if there’s a stage offered, I’ve owned it!
Now, I am an award winning company working with an abundance of celebrities, while employing over 50 singers all around the UK!
But it hasn’t always been this way, it didn’t come easy. I knew nothing about entertainment, singing, or weddings! My cousin was the entertainer in the family, not me. I worked at Halfords, fitting car stereos, from age 15 while in school earning £30 a week on a work permit. I went on to have over 20 jobs at places like Harvester, Euro Car Parts, AKW, Tesco, Sainsburys & many more! I could never really find something that I truely loved.
One day, my cousin invited me to watch her sing at a pub. I was completely starstruck. We were proud of her, she had beaten breast cancer, and watching her perform left me in awe. Then, out of nowhere, she asked me to join her on stage for a duet. I plucked up the courage from my 3 beers and joined her. When we finished, the crowd’s standing ovation took my breath away, the feeling of performing felt like home.
On the drive home my aunt said, “I didn’t know you could sing!”— and neither did I! For two years, I performed with her, pushing past my stage fright each time.
On July 1st 2012, I found out her cancer had returned, only this time, it was terminal. Twenty days later, I got a phone call for me to go to her house, sat by her bedside as she told me she was leaving me all her singing equipment and urged me not to waste my talent. We spent the next two hours talking about life and laughing. The next day, she passed away.
After that I realised I knew nothing at all about singing, entertainment or weddings. But her belief in me changed everything.
This was the turning point. I knew I needed to grow and upscale my skill sets. I started singing, mostly in the shower or in the car at first. But then, I took a bold step and asked the same venue where I had sung with my aunt if I could perform there again. They agreed, and I s*** myself! I spent hours watching YouTube videos on singing techniques, comedy timing, and stage presence, absorbing every tip I could. I took lessons from active performers I knew in the area, devouring and absorbing all the knowledge I could on how to better my presence and voice.
When the night finally came, it was a huge success. After the show, a couple approached me and asked if I would sing at their wedding. I played it cool and said yes but honestly, I knew I had a lot to learn about weddings!
Determined to get it right, I spent an entire day with an incredible woman in her 80s, a wedding planner who had been in the business since she was 16. She shared all her wisdom and tips of the trade, and thanks to her, I started to understand what it takes to create magic at a wedding. That moment set me on the path I’m on today. I realised I had two great skills, singing and entertaining, and thought, why not combine them? That’s when I dove into the world of singing waiters, and it fell straight into my lap. I was actually headhunted by a company that specialised in it, but I quickly noticed some big gaps in their act. It wasn’t delivering the “wow” factor couples deserved!
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I created my own show, one that’s all about surprise, laughter, and unforgettable performances. Now, I’m proud to say my company has become one of the most sought-after wedding performances, giving couples and guests a mind-blowing experience they’ll never see coming! I have built up a show on my own with generating over £100,000 in revenue in my first year of business!
I truly believe that my journey, filled with trial, error, and plenty of wild experiences, has led me to something incredible. Now, I can offer couples and their guests something magical, an experience they’ll never forget for the rest of their lives.
Remember this: the cake gets eaten, the flowers wilt, but the memories we create together will last a lifetime.
